Arrest made in shooting that left 1 dead, 1 injured in Penobscot County

A Connecticut man is charged with murder for a shooting in Corinth that left one man dead and another injured.

Troopers responded to reports of gunshots at a home on Main Street on Sep. 21 to find 32-year-old Michael McGregor of Skowhegan, who was Life Flighted to a local hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

In a nearby apartment, they found the body of 46-year-old Scott Roberts of Glenburn, whose death was ruled a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.

On Thursday, Connecticut police arrested 27-year-old Jawon Owens on murder and assault charges.

He’s awaiting extradition back to Maine where he’ll appear in a Bangor courtroom.
