One person was injured and a dog had to be rescued from a fire at a home in Windham Tuesday morning.

Windham fire crews and firefighters from nine surrounding towns battled the fire at a home on Aroostook Drive.

A dog was rescued from the home and treated on scene before being taken to a veterinary hospital, while one resident was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not believed to be suspicious.
