The superintendent of MSAD 42 in northern Maine has pleaded not guilty to three felony charges.

According to the Bangor Daily News, 61-year-old Elaine Boulier pleaded not guilty Wednesday to several charges, including tampering with a witness and domestic violence stalking. She was arrested in January in connection with a domestic violence case against her son.

Court records show Boulier tried to coerce the victim to drop the charges against her son.

Boulier continued to serve as superintendent of the district, which covers the Mars Hill, Blaine and Bridgewater communities.

If convicted on all charges, Boulier could spend six years in prison. She’s due back in court in August.
