Two Arrested in Month’s Long Drug Investigation in Bangor

Two people face aggravated drug trafficking charges after what’s being called a several month’s long investigation in Bangor.

The Maine Drug Enforcement North Central District Task Force says they received a search warrant for an apartment on Sidney Street in Bangor, where they seized a kilo each of cocaine and fentanyl, as well as cocaine base, two handguns, and more than $36,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

Officers say they arrested 36-year-old William Sanchez of Waterbury, Connecticut, before the apartment search on Tuesday, and 45-year-old Eileen Chase of Bangor on Wednesday.

Sanchez is charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking Cocaine HCl, Cocaine Base, and Fentanyl. Chase is charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking of Fentanyl.

Bail for Sanchez is set at $150,0000, while bail for Chase is set at $100,000.

Police say more arrests and charges are expected based on their investigation.
